I like this theme that’s developing between Charles and Storm regarding the idea of always having to fight for your humanity and whether that’s fair
Charles says he didn’t want Cyclops and Jean to have to basically dedicate the rest of their lives to the constant struggle of mutant liberation which is what he tried to get for himself with him going off into space to escape the non-stop prejudice.
This matches Storm who was secretly happy to no longer be a mutant so that she didn’t have to also subject the rest of her life to also battling prejudice.
It seemed like in episode 6 the show had answered the question saying that it’s better to keep fighting when both Charles and Storm decided to return to the fray but now with episode 9 it seems the show hasn’t wholeheartedly declared that Charles and Storm are right. Now Sunspot and Magneto and Rogue have also decided that it’s not worth fighting forever and they should just abandon earth again like Charles did at first and start a mutant colony elsewhere.
It’s interesting that you’d expect that the obvious thing here is that magneto is wrong for this approach but it’s not clear. Cyclops has his doubts. There are very direct points made about how Charles is willing to go the extra mile against Magneto yet can never do the same against Humanity.
This finale is telegraphing Onslaught but I think there’s going to be a twist and Onslaught isn’t going to be the traditional comics version and this theme can finally be resolved

It was decent
Action wise I love what they did to cyclops
Movie version was a chump
The rogue storyline I didn't like at all
Same with jean
If they cut out the romance from the show it'd be 10x better
