General & Others Your Favorite Quote & Scene Combo

#1
Yo, what is y'alls favorite quote& scene combo. Meaning a quote that happens alongside your favorite scene. Zoro's "This is Nothing" happening with Zoro standing there all bloodied for example if one of them.

Mine: "Brothers!!! See how bright and warm it shines! There is no limit to the sky above!! And no limit to the sea beyond, glittering in the sunlight!!! I never knew the surface would be so wonderful! What a beautiful world!!!"

Reason why it's my favorite combo: I really felt this scene set the vibe for the reverie events that were about to happen. With the introduction of the "King of the World", the reverie that was about to take place with over 50 major nations coming together to determine the fate of the world. The quote from Shirahoshi with her curiosity of seeing this new amazing thing and describing the scenery that she sees before her for the first time in her life, also sort of let's us know of the grim situation the Fishmen island folks are in as vast amounts of them have never seen the surface. There's also the whole thing with how amazing the world itself, yet some of the people living in it can make it insanely ugly, that come after this scene in the later chapters and ones that came before this scene. The scene itself is very simple you have the bright sun shining on the ocean with the gandola thousands of meters in the air surrounded by clouds, just a very simple beautiful scene to look at. And ngl, it really hit me with the realization when reading it like.. damn OP-world really is fucking beautiful from all the various islands we've seen and etc, yet there's so much fucked up shit that the people can't enjoy the beautiful world they live in.

Please share your combo & Try to explain why you picked it

Quote: People's dreams, don't ever end!!

Reasons why it's my favorite: I feel like this line perfectly captures the themes of OP, and the Jaya Arc in particular. I love the set up. Luffy gets in an argument with this seemingly irrelevant fatass in a bar, and later, Luffy faces a strong ideological opposition in Bellamy, who holds a huge constrasting view from Luffy. After they get beaten up, they run into Teach again, and surprisingly he gives them encouragement and tells them both that OP and the Sky Islands are real

Later, we learn that this man is actually Blackbeard, one of the mysterious "D's", and the man Ace was chasing after him.

It was such an amazing introduction to Teach's character imo.

Quote: “Pirates are evil? The Marines are righteous? These terms have always changed throughout the course of history! Kids who have never seen peace and kids who have never seen war have different values! Those who stand at the top determine what's wrong and what's right! This very place is neutral ground! Justice will prevail, you say? But of course it will! Whoever wins this war becomes justice!”
- Donquixote Doflamingo
Reasons why it's my favorite: I think Doffy's speech emphasizes on how the One Piece world works. There are no such thing as "good" and "evil" for pirates and marines. The winners are the ones that marks the history.

I also think Doffy's speech in the jail cell with Tsuru is also good but I'll say that his Marineford speech stands out more imo.

Quote: “Leave this guys key to me, I’ll do what you can’t do; you do what I can’t do. Think carefully! Read the situation. If you’re here, there’s got to be a way Robin-chan can be saved! Usopp!
- Vinsmoke Sanji

This has always been one of my favorite quotes in the manga strictly because of what it means to the characters and how it brings a great resolution to Usopps arc in Water 7. And this quote aged Well (which is rare for OP) when we saw more of Sanjis backstory and him having to deal with being useless himself. It also really works with the theme of One Piece (before oda made it the luffy show) where the characters would focus on what they can’t Do in order to greater emphasize that their dreams can only be reached due to the help of their friends.

My other choice is:
“The government says your existence is a crime, but no matter what weapons you may hold, just being alive isn’t a sin! There’s no crime and living!”
- Franky

Purely because it created an instant connection for these two characters and really cemented Franky being a great choice for a nakama and the quote just hits every time I read it.

I really liked Oda whiting out the background so you just have a focus on the trio and teach + the words. Simple and emphatic.

All time GOATED quote from Franky, but not sure if the "scene" was all that special, was just a normal chat scene with the camera going back and forth with focus on Franky and Robin. Though the last zoom in on Franky and Robin was nice.
