What portrayal Lihawk has? He is doomed to lose to hype Shiryu, another YC. He stopped being an antagonist the moment he trained Zoro. He will be offed by Shiryu to give Zoro a personal stake against Shiryu.

He is waiting for a swordmaster to specifically surpass Shanks.
He is perhaps Zoro's last strong opponent and he is currently likely close to yonko level at least and yet so many opponents away.

Nobody relevant acknowledges a Black Blade. When you are the World's Strongest like Kaido, Primebeard and Roger and don't care for a Black Blade, it is clear that Black Blade is nothing special power wise. Otherwise Strong swordsmen like Vista or Oden would have atleast mentioned Black Blade.

I agree Ryuma is stronger than Mihawk but since Kawamatsu and Hyugoro kinda made an hint that Zoro is an reincarnation of Ryuma it still doesn't matter. The resemblance is there for sure. Ryuma was one eyed and Zoro is one eyed. Now he only needs black blades. Its also not far fetched that ryuma was a master of ACoC. Zoro will be too since he already used it unconciously.
I am not a Zoro hater. I am a Zoro fan. I just don't like it when people wank Zoro to insane levels, thereby belittling the hardships and challenges he overcomes. A normal guy accomplishing a great feat requires far more mental strength than an inanely strong guy.

I agree I have my limits on wanking Zoro too. Some people are implying that Zoro already is stronger than Kaido which I strongly disagree with. He can damage him yes and give him the killing blow but that still doesn't make him stronger in a 1v1. Even Luffy right now is not strong enough for kaido to purely fight him 1v1. Kaido fought countless other dudes before Luffy got his 1v1. And thats not a true 1v1 imo.
But I wouldn't call Mihawk a weakling really. He is still above Shanks. He wouldn't wait for an stronger opponent than shanks if he wasn't already stronger than him. That narrative itself wouldn't make sense itself. If Shanks was stronger zoros goal would be to surpass Shanks wouldn't it?
