Zoro seems to have an interesting relationship with “Subconscious powers” even compared to the rest of the crew

Zoro already understands that there’s a difference between using abilities in the heat of the moment versus tapping into them on command. This Alabasta scene was even retconed to be about CoA the way Gaban is talking about CoC.

So it’s interesting that Zoro has “King of Hell” which you would assume means Zoro is Consciously using CoC since he’s actively naming it a whole entire different name.

Zoro knows he has a power in King of hell same way he knew he had a power post-Alabasta, he just never knew what the Names and “natures” of these powers are. Zoro doesn’t know that the King of Hell power is CoC specifically.

And of course there’s Ashura, the power Zoro knows he has since he has a name for it and he can summon it on command, but once again, he might not know what the Nature of Ashura is.

Gaban says Zoro needs to know that it’s CoC specifically in order to properly use it so the question is, Will Ashura get stronger when Zoro actually learns what it is?

Zoro not knowing about CoC being among his skillset and KoH are contradictory.
It seems Oda made that up for some reason and then went and nullified it right away by making Zoro aware.
There should be no difference in KoH attacks now compared to before.
Regarding Asura, Zoro may not know what it is specifically but he certainly knows that it is his strongest feat.

"Stronger" is always a word of play.

Stronger as in isolated power generated, that would depend on his stats, but the answer should be no.
Stronger as in battle, yes.

IRL Analogy:
1. Punching with nothing but full swing
2. Punching with mastered technique

Timing beats speed, precision beats power.
-A once wise MMA Fighter Mystic Mac

Mechanically speaking it depends on how much Oda wants to be technical about this.
He can easily make another level of haki usage in a more concentrated haki with mastery, that can even lead to black blade forging.

People that say no are setting themselves up for failure

Regardless of the way you feel about it it’s very clearly being framed as some sort of powerup

Zoro doesn’t understand his own power and Gaban critiques him because without understanding what it is he’s doing he can never master it

I expect his KoH boost to either increase or he loses the timer on it and can use it for as long as he wants

Maybe Ashura becomes more of a form rather than a finisher which would make Zoro significantly stronger

Either way he’s coming out of this arc stronger than he was going into it
