Zoro might become stronger during the fight (so the possibility of him being not ready for a YC would still be on) or even receive the Nidai Kitetsu after their defeat against the emperor(s).

And even if Zoro were to damage Kaido without any new power up, it would not come from a 1 vs 1 situation.
Wounding badly a distracted Kaido who doesn't defend himself with CoA is a good feat, even a YC1+ level feat maybe, but not enough to put him anywhere near the likes of Katakuri, Marco or even Queen.
Lethality is not everything and those dudes, like any other YC, are very strong fellows with many aces up their sleeve

You have no idea if Zoro is gonna replicate Oden's feat against a wounded Kaido or not tho..also him badly injuring Kaido means that he would be able to fuck up a yc character easily

I don't think any of the scabbards would have been able to shatter King's sword with the two swords style attack he used against Kaido
