Don't really see the parallel between Buggy and Sanji since it relies too much on Sanji and Zoro mirroring Shanks and Buggy as a pair when individually there ain't much there and as a pair plenty of opponents Sanji and Zoro defeated argued but I wouldn't look too much into that. If there was more than just gags then maybe but nah, I disagree.

Rayleigh has no kick based fighting style. Rayleigh kicked Borsalino's leg away before he could blow up Zoro's leg. Afterwards, he proceeded to actually fight Borsalino in CQC using his sword.

Rayleigh kicking Borsalino's leg away is no different from Zoro kicking fodder in Alabasta or Dellinger in Dressrosa.

Rayleigh seemed to be a smarter and more strategic individual as well like Sanji.

The idiot trio is just a gag. It's not canon like the Monster Trio (Luffy, Zoro, Sanji) or the Weakling Trio (Chopper, Nami, Usopp) or the Middle Trio (Robin, Franky, Brook).

The Adult Trio was a thing in Zou where Franky Brook and Robin waited for Kin and Kanjuro. They never called themselves anything except brook saying “So it seems we adults must keep things under control.”

Weakling trio is canonically used by Usopp in return to Sabaody arc
