It's seems like Zoro and Shimotsuki have a connection (well, duh) so we should expect a backstory soon. Probably when Zoro visits Ryuma's grave and I like the idea of Zoro getting the character lore at the end of the arc just like how Sanji got the lore at the beginning of WCI. Fight wise, it seems like King would be a good match for Zoro. Hopefully it won't be like Zoro vs Pica 2.0 but rather Zoro vs Mr. 1 or Zoro vs Kaku.

I hope that Zoro will mention his will to become the World's Strongest when that comes into essence since he in all likelihood never lost the gist of the desire and Mihawk is probably not necessarily the last milestone for him.

I want Zoro to have that shimotsuki fox as his pet/lackey.

I would love to see interactions between that pet fox and chopper comparing their low bounties since they are just pets with Zoro laughing at them in the background.

Zoro character was the least important thing about him since new world

I legitimately liked Zoro back in Old world
now ... Zoro is all about power level horse-shit and he barely had any character development
this can be said about ever single straw hat but Zoro dropped higher than the rest

Current Zoro hyped me more massively for several reasons expecially combat and background story related, but I still miss some of the peculiarities of the Pre TS, such as more present and consistent SHs intrinsic interactions.

-More involvement in the decision making process inside the crew
-develop individual interests.
-Ask more questions, and gives his opinion on stuff more, i'm tired of him only reacting with "........"
-stop making empty statments:
>he told hijrudin that whe he wakes up the bird cage would be gone: didn't happen
>he promised luffy that he'll have the wano samurai under his lead: didn't happen
>he told queen he wants to cut kaido to praces: he became a bodyguard for luffy instead

one piece don't have many world class character much like most fictions ever
but reading about loveable people who amaze us with their personality is good enough
and I missed those days

Having a fight even more difficult than the mr1 fight. Evolving through extreme difficulty fights is quite powerful scene.
See some things about his childhood.
Having a family.
Him and sanji having a tearful moment after they separate ways..

Pretty much what do you want to see from zoro character wise? Things that have nothing to do with feats or portrayal

Like would you like to see him go through any hardships he'll have to overcome, go deeper into his history, developments, interactions, etc.

Also do you ever think we'll ever see zoro cry again and if so what do you imagine the reason?
I would like for someone to seriously confront Zoro's burning desire to push himself, despite the harm it has on him. Preferably Tashigi, who is the only one with any insight on Zoro's childhood. I want for Zoro to actually share more of himself to someone, even if it's indirectly. Kuina's death had a stronger effect on him than just inspiring him to take on her will. He seems adamant not succumb to human limitations. Limitations Tashigi's confronted by all too often. There's a lot of potential for growth for both of them.

If we ever see Zoro cry, it might be with Luffy to mirror this scene with Roger and Ray, or at least something similar.

Oda is little by little building an encounter between Zoro and Kaido alongside Yamato.

The last couple of chapters seem to be teasing the start of something bigger.

I just think it would not be satisfying if the arc were to end soon when we are about to learn more about Zoro. Its a major plot point that Oda has been teasing at least since the end of W7 when he named Zoro's hometown the Shimotsuki village.

I think so too. After all, if Zoro intends to slay Kaido, then he has to confront Yamato, Kaido's child. Especially since Yamato is determined to become a Straw Hat. It would be awkward if Yamato sailed with the man who killed their father, even if they hated him, and the two exchanged no real dialogue about it. But I don't think it will go too deeply. It's not like Zoro knows who Ushimaru is, or that Yamato would know that Zoro was his son.

I feel the last two chapters are building further context behind Zoro's actions on Wano. And it reinforces my earlier beliefs that Zoro is the prodigal son of Wano.

If Oda intends to give characters some breathing room to maybe tackle these new developments, then the post-war celebration would be the best place. It's where the lore dump usually occurs.

Its possible that Kaido will make the connection between Zoro and Ushimaru to start the rivalry.

Oda could tackle these new developments in a post war devastation much like the end of MF for Luffy. Flashbacks usually happen before a battle to raise the stakes. I just think it would not be as satisfying to talk about Zoro's past when all is well especially since Oda has been teasing it for over a decade.

If the crew actually manages to emerge victorious they will be the closest to One Piece. Herein lies the issue, Oda has to build up Blackbeard as the ultimate boss and increase his bounty. He needs to find the Poneglyphs too and is clearly plotting something. If I were the author I would write a plot device to give Teach the lead over Luffy.

Maybe, though I'm not as confident on Kaido. Yamato's encounter with Ushimaru left a big impact on them, so they are more likely to make the connection.

I guess, but things are clearly progressing in the way they usually do at the end of every arc. Straw Hats have their fights, the populace are facing imminent calamity, the Straw Hats who've won their fights are given new tasks while the battle continues, and major plot points are winding down. Even if it feels unsatisfactory, the war is being positioned to end with the Alliance's victory.

That could be Oda's intent. He may want all eyes to be on the Straw Hats, so that Teach can seize the opportunity while no one is paying attention.

Or Teach is on the verge of achieving something grand around the same time Luffy does. We aren't given any updates to the outside world, and it's for a reason.
