I don't think Luffy and the rest of the crew are going to fight the admirals.
Akainu is not strong like Kaido or BB to be Luffy's main opponent. And if Luffy won't defeat the boss then the crew won't defeat the subordinates.
The other problem is time. It's hard to see Oda putting more than one big arc if he intends to finish the story in 3 years.

I agree 100% now especially after seeing that GB has a way to avoid being damaged by flame that crossed Sanji off the list for me. The color schemes match, Gb uses a katana(tho I doubt it’s a black blade anymore), his drainage power could connect to the idea that Zoro is used to having his energy drained (enma), if fire doesn’t work then blades is the next best thing. Both Zoro and Sanji never had a full 1v1 against a logia and the opportunity presents itself here. Sanji fighting a guy w the fastest speed and strongest kicks in the verse really does sound like a match made in heaven, also throw in his experience w dodging lasers and him having an affinity for observation. Fujitora as a samurai associated w the tiger made it easy to assume as a Zoro fight but it never felt right knowing the type of person he is especially after dressrosa I could never view him as a serious final war matchup. Zoro can also be associated w the bull thanks to Ushimaru I wonder if the bull is an animal representative of the Shimotsuki. Literally all three admirals have good enough reason to connect w Zoro but in the end GB makes most sense to me now. It’s funny even Sanji/Kizaru have a subtle connection to Vegapunk. I’m rambling but yea Luffy/Sabo vs Akainu, Zoro vs GB, Sanji vs Kiz I can’t imagine it any other way.
