Character Discussion Zoro is smarter than we think?

If there’s one character in onepiece who doesnt make sense at all it is zorro, there’s some scene in onepiece that he lost where his going but what if there’s actually a reason behind it?

what if when zorro lost where his going he was actually using his instinct?
For example of this is this

when he got lost he somehow went to where the enemy was!

or the time when Zorro was walking on Sabaody Archapelego and somehow he was on the right way on going to human auction?

Or what about this scene?

luffy and zorro was doing some math? Luffy was asking zorro what is 208 x 2?

Or what about his speeches on alabasta? About war, about the alabasta kingdom, about everything somehow on that Arc Zorro was seems to be very smart and know what he was actually talking about..

what if Oda hid this? And somehow if we wanna know what kind of character is zorro we gotta understand this in a way so that we could understand how he became so powerful not only on strength but also in intelligence a type of intelligence that warriors has

what do you guys think?

Imo Zoro's gag is just a gag (and what a gag, both iconic and funny af ngl). Outside of that, I do believe that he is smarter than a lot of people think.

He is situationally smart (more so than Luffy) but he is also pretty dumb. I think Rayleigh said that he thought there was one SH (Zoro) who might not be able to decipher the 3D2Y message. And he and Luffy both have had some pretty dumb thinking (Meat and Sake) etc.

thats actually a interesting topic. i think though this is one of the examples that zorro is smart. Because that time when he saw the 3d2y that luffywasnt the one who did that, zorro also said that reyleigh was with him, so he knew right away that the 3 days to 2 years is reyleigh’s plan and he was also the first one to see the 3d2y and the first to realize the plan to train for 2 years straight. So to say that Reyleigh was doubting Zorro was kinda stupid of him?
