Zoro (One Piece) vs Gajeel (Fairy Tail)

We still put Naruto and Bleach with their bad writing here. Let's focus on what characters can do without the flaws of what happen and what they really can do.
I think can go either way depending as Gajeel isn't to easily damage and if he takes a bit of Zoro swords, could be over to Zoro if not careful. Kinda of like that guy with rust abilities in EL arc that destroy one if his blades.
Plus given Gajeel's shadow added abilities, it be harder he can touch him. Though Zoro has Haki and might manage against him. Again could go either as both series are still going.

I would agree that Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Dragonball, etc. are not perfect if it comes to consistence by feats, statements, or scaling. But they are better in those terms.
Don´t know how your guys debate in crossbattle, but even the flaws are part of the verses. They are consistent and inconsistent feats, statements, scaling, etc.
One example: Charakter X uses death magic against a charakter, who don´t die because plot. This ability automatically wouldn´t work against Charakters who has at least the same stats, or higher (Unless there is an good reason, why i didn´t work)
As long this match has no rules about CIS/PIS/etc. allowed, i don´t see why we should ignore the flaws.
Probably that works different on this board, then forget what i am saying. It is just a standard debate in many other boards.
Well, Gajeel can eat iron, so i would say that is a possible scenario. The question is, can Gajeel keep up with Zoro in terms of speed? Zoro already cut through Iron as he did against Daz Bonez. We using current Zoro, so i don´t see why Zoro should have trouble with Gajeel his durability. He cut even trough a Pacifista

I would put Erza above Gajeel by better feats.
Deathbattle isn´t realy accurate if it comes to battles, but they make very good animations.
By stats, based on physics i would put One Piece above Fairy Tail, but they haven´t the abilities to put some Fairy Tail charakters down.
It depends on the battle between the charakters. If we going with Gajeel vs Zoro, i didn´t see Gajeel winning here, tbh.
