Killer could have done literally anything but aiming for arm because don't have it was the key to win this fight. There was no other fuckin way.

Shanks and Kidd loosing an arm has nothing to do with Cutting. Shanks hands was chewed down and for Killer no idea whether lost it against Shanks or someone of the crew.

Jozu hand was never cut either. It was frozen by aokiji when jozu wasn't paying attention and his hand became brittle and broke off when he fell down.

None of them actually shows any gore , except for shanks part but that was to tried to be censored as much as possible. Oda is not showing any ridiculous river blood in the series.

Strong characters clashing with weapons is a thing from before TS. Luffy clashed with Zoro before TS, and he actually has a weakness to blades. The entirety of Kaku vs Zoro during EL is Kaku clashing with Zoro with his body.
