- Zoro will always fight the second strongest. Jack is simply not the second strongest. King is a swordsman too and the second strongest. Thus, he is obviously Zoro's opponent. Forget about nerfed or not. King is also being nerfed by Marco. Zoro will have enough rest to face him or Kaido again.
Zoro vs King.
Sanji vs Queen.
Inuarashi will beat Jack.

Inu couldn't beat human Jack, Zoro is beaten to a pulp, Jack is weakened and a swordsman and the treasure room near which Jack and Inu are fighting and Hiyori was, is the place Law chose to let the scabbards recover and it's on the second floor, so not too far from BM.
Why should Law choose a different place?
What better place to meet Hiyori?
Who can save Inu?
It's a place quite isolated, no one would go there to help him, unless the new Oden considers one of his scabbards too weak

Jack is tailor made for Zoro. Inferior swordsmanship, inferior haki, slow and immobile. An incredibly bad matchup. It doesn't make Jack weak but it's Pica all over again.
Cracker with his strong CoA + 1000 of soldiers + being quite evasive is a tougher opponent for Zoro. And at the same time Crackers lack of durability and Jacks incredible tankiness would probably still mean that Jack takes Cracker out.

Law said that Big Mom was inside the castle so he knows where she is and he will probably go there to help Kid. And she is is on the 2nd floor.
The same floor the treasure room, a quiet place to rest and where we saw Hiyori the last time, is and coincidentally near to Inuarashi vs Jack battleground.
Obviously Inuarashi can't defeat Jack, he has yet to show his hybrid form and the dukes weren't able to defeat his human or beast form without sulong, so someone has to step in: Zoro
I'm not suggesting this to mock Zoro in any way, he did great on the roof but he is too weakened to defeat an opponent on par with Sanji's and i doubt he is going to be the only one without a 1 vs 1.
Jack is perfect. He is weakened as Zoro and a strawhat should defeat him just like Chopper is defeating Queen with Drake and Apoo's help, Sanji is defeating King and everybody else a Tobi Roppo. Brook vs Perospero is probable too.
Yamato would have been in a good choice if she was bound to become a strawhat, but she has no reason to go there, especially after meeting the scabbards so i started doubting Yamato vs Jack.
But Jack isn't just a good opponent for Zoro (after Law and Hiyori treat him at the best of their abilities) for his strength.
He is a confirmed swordsman and Zoro knows and despises him.
So they should be near, they should be that far strength wise in that state and they have a reason to fight.
On top of that, Oda while drawing the 1006 cover was about to do a very curious thing: put Jack at the center of the page.
Knowing how much Oda is obsessed with Zoro, was it a hint?
