Whatever Oden did, Zoro did it as well in Wano.

There is no huge gap between them at this point. We can debate if Zoro surpassed him or not but it doesn’t change the fact that they are very close.

OT, No Zoro doesnt need to beat any animal to surpass him.

Zoro is a yonko’s RHM, but Oden wasn’t just any YC1. He was a legendary pirate who nearly killed Kaido, likely comparable to prime Rayleigh.

While it wouldn’t make sense for Zoro to reach that level in wano, where Luffy just became a yonko, it would make sense for him to reach that level in elbaf, where Luffy is fixing to become PK.

Hence I think Zoro will kill the nidhoggr, surpassing Oden and possibly even turning Enma black.

Perhaps you've changed your opinion since this thread was some time ago but, funnily enough, I do think Zoro will reach Oden's level of strength on Elbaf.

Perhaps you've changed your opinion since this thread was some time ago but, funnily enough, I do think Zoro will reach Oden's level of strength on Elbaf.

Prime Oden has nothing that Current Zoro doesn't have.
Prime Oden was known for his durability and endurance coupled with his strong attack power in relation to using enma as light as feather which Zoro is using currently the same way.

Oden is dead and he definitely didn't have what it takes to defeat the awakened clear fruit. He would end up worse than Garp vs basic invisibility Shiryu and his no name stabs.
But at least he was strong, as strong as Roger and WB unlike BM.

Imo I don't know if he surpasses oden but I think he'll be on his level leaving elbaf. All zoro needs to do is refine his abilities he doesn't even necessarily need another big pu. What holds zoro back is his time limit on his strongest current form. If zoro doesn't have that time limit and gets little boosts to his stats that he always gets he'll be odens level leaving elbaf.
