Most people try to make Zoro parralel with Rayleigh but no matter how i look at it the one who really resembles Ray is actually Luffy. Luffy simple and easygoing just like Ray and he has more similarities with him then Roger.
Now lets come to Zoro, Zoros first introduction is him getting tricked by a crafty weakling and endured torture also humuliation. Isn't this same as Oden who was tricked by Orochi then got humuliated and executed. Zoro also inherrited Odens sword and his fighting style resembles Odens if he usues 2 swords, ironically Zoro before Kuinas death was a 2 sword user. Enmas craftman Kozaburo was also the one who crafted Wado(Take the D and put a N it becomes Wano) and both these mighty swords which ended up in Zoros hands. Zoro saved Hyori who resembles Odens wife Toki like a twin and Oden also meet his wife like that. Whitebeard didn't want to take Oden to his crew because he doesn't seem like a man who can be a follower. Zoro also mentioned by lots of people as a person who will not follow anyone and even when Croc invited him he was rejected. Oden joined WB because of a need since he wanted to leave Wano while Zoro joined Luffy becuse he didn't want to be executed. Oden lived through hell by boiling in oil while Zoro lived throuh hell by taking Luffys pain. Oden was a Armamment haki master so does Zoro.
I am not saying Zoro is exactly like Oden in every aspect but he sure has more similarities to him then Rayleigh.
