imagine a character who is very overpowered for their time being introduced, but then, as the manga progresses, the power scaling system inflates and that character who was once considered overpowered no longer seems so overpowered.

The more we learn about the characters from Old Gen and GV, the less special Kaido seems. Xebec/Roger/WB/Shiki/Harald/Kyo/Ray/Gaban....the list keeps growing.
