I missed that, I figured they each had a broken bankai but don't remember that statement. I can't envision the food women, and the hot springs dude beating Aizen, they weren't that impressive. Zankpaktou creator, yes, Ichibei yes. Shutara...maybe? A powered up Ishida did destroy her afterall, I don't think that version of Ishida can beat Hogyoku Aizen.

I am finally catching up to Wingdom after months of letting the manga progress. The Han conflict is amazing, I appreciate that Hara is breaking from a traditional battle and instead giving us an emotional struggle for the lives of the people vs the state. Long story short Wingdom is peak as always

@Bullet Have hope for this next war arc. Call it cope but I think Hara went on a speedrun since Gian arc simply due to the nature of these wars not being very important in the grand scheme of the unification. I can't imagine knowing you'd have to write two war arcs where they lose back to back. It's all mere checkpoints that Hara was forced to sludge his way through due to history tying him in a leash.

But hope you are right. This Han arc didn't need much to be great. Good start and climax but he fed us shit for the battle.
3 chapters of intense fighting and a couple tactical moves would have done the arc justice but Hara couldn't be bothered.
