Source? If they go full western maritime folklore mode with it instead of basing it on the Japanese one, it will certainly be a banger.

Western one is rich enough to milk a 50h game's boss cast easily. I would love to stance-break Davy Jones and Barbarossa. weapon variety would be phenomenal.

@Blackbeard @Elder Lee Hung the one reason I think it MIGHT be real is because of all the scrapped ocean content for the other games. Scrapped ocean content for the bloodborne dlc with the fishing hamlet, scrapped content about The Deep in DS3, scrapped ship content and an Umi Bozo boss for Elden Ring, etc

It's not the difficulty I complain about, it's the fact the reason why the Gargoyle is difficult, unlike others, is straight up cheap.

Take Bayle for example, you can effectively melee him without the lock-on, you can't do the same with the Gargoyle who's jumping around far more frequently.

I didn't feel the satisfaction of beating it.
