i'm not asexual or aromantic but i really wish there was more representation for people who are asexual and/or aromantic in fiction
hell even outside of fiction there's not many popular asexual/aromantic people. i can name a gay, lesbian, or bi musician off the top of my head (a trans one would admittedly be harder to think of though) but not an asexual or aromantic one. kind of sad

That's because the point of a fiction is to tell a story, not to represent some specific type of individuals. If your plot revolves around the sexuality of an individual, it's neither compelling nor appealing.

I'm not saying to make that the entire focus of your story, that'd be incredibly shallow. I'm just saying it'd be nice to acknowledge that these people exist and to bring them to the light.

I understand your point but I disagree. If the point of a character is to say "I exist and I'm a human being just like you", then I don't see what it brings to the story. But it's just a different vision of what a fiction is supposed to be.

I hate the fact that I read One Piece. In my view, it's equivalent to hiring the services of a very low-quality prostitute because you're bored and want stimulation, and consequently ending up contracting AIDS. Both AIDS and One Piece steal precious time from people's lives. Both AIDS and One Piece enter people's lives after a moment of stupid epiphany.
