Three points

1) The animal Sanji is associated with is a duck, like the 'ugly duckling'
2) The ugly duckling had a transformation, was bullied by his siblings and harbored self-hatered (coincidence? I don't think so.)
3) Guess which character associated with a swan and is linked to Sanji? Bon-chan 🤯

I just thought on another point that prove my theory that Sanji is supposed to be the 'ugly duckling'!

Sanji is the only Vinsmoke sibling that isn't Ducktales-color coded!

- Ryoji is Webby (Pink)

His brothers are the triplet:
- Ichiji / Huey (Red)
- Niji / Dewey (Blue)
- Yonji / Lewy (Green)

Even the order of the brothers and the colors fit 🤯

Sanji isn't part of this color set which mean he isn't a real duck!
