I have never been more disappointed in myself than for not making the effort to learn English.
To those who aren't English speakers: my advice to you is to learn English by any means necessary—it is truly one of the most important life skills.
If I could go back in time, I would do everything in my power to learn how to speak English.

When you enter university and need to write papers, being proficient in English puts you several steps ahead of everyone else.
Whether you want to play online games,
engage with an international audience on YouTube and social media,
or for a thousand other reasons, having good language skills is essential.

whereas a friend of mine started learning English at the age of four or five and now reads and speaks it very fluently.
It’s too late to change the past, but I’m still going to try to improve my language skills at least a little; and I tell the people around me that even if English doesn't end up being useful for your work, simply knowing an extra language is fantastic in itself.

A part of me felt the same mysticism in Imu that I felt with Carrot's Sulong. I wonder if Oda consciousely tapped beyond his own style in these occurences.

I think it's the hair mostly. The ways he draws Sulong's Luffy's and Imu's hair is very magical and smoky like. Very similar to how old drawings represents deities.
