Another thing is...... why are people saying the plot point has no purpose when the plot point hasn't ended yet? Your reading one piece, Oda could setup a random plot point and it could take 1 chapter 10 chapters, 20 chapters or maybe even the end of the arc for us to know the purpose of a plot point. Oda loves doing shit like that. We should probably wait until the arc concludes before deciding which things have no purpose.
we know Sanji wont fight Woman, so i just dont see the further plot between them.
and now maybe Sanji will save scabbards, while Maria got intercepted by Robin.

1. Oda trash Sanji so Zoro & Luffy looks awesome in comparison on the rooftop

If you see a pizza, you'll find it tasty.
If you see a pizza next to a rotten bread, you'll find the pizza tastier.

2. Oda won't let Sanji go to the rooftop

Obvious reasons because only SN are allowed to be there.

3. Because reason above, Maria is the only one left of F6 to stall Sanji

- Drake switched sides.
- Page 1 & Ulti are tag-team, perfect for Usopp-Nami. Besides P1 are too easy for Sanji but he can't hit Ulti.
- Jinbe & WW are linked by "unknown" relation
- Sasaki is chasing Momo (to showcase Yamato) & meet Franky because he's the only one around.

Thus, we get BM to "get" Sanji.
- BM is stationary person so she won't chase Momo, which result to not meet Franky
- The gag of Sanji can't hit woman

I also think it's lame that Oda is basically doing this scenario again, but that poll is just salt incarnate lol
I guess i'm happy Robin could finally get an oponnent but having Sanji be completely helpless against a woman yet again is unnecessary.
That said, the attitude some people here take where they act like Oda is somehow doing this on purpose to mess with Sanji fans or claiming that he hates his own character is just conceited and dumb.

Sanji will het his moment(s) later, so at this point we can really only hope that this subplot has another purpose other than to have Robin save him.

Not really. Oda is just clearly using the same plotlines just different arcs. Robin Save me take me out of here Enies Lobby, sanji Save me take me back to the sunny WCI. Now these two are supposedly together... if we can point out their similarities...

You have a problem when, let's say Pokemon is being more orginal than you. Kek

If that's truly Robin, perhaps Sanji sensed her and decided to hold back and get captured again so she wouldn't get noticed during her infiltration
we all know its not true..... moreover if that is indeed robin... then its bad writing for Robin /storytoo.

I have already said this... the story writing is shit tier for one piece now, Wano itself has so many bad story writing and setups. And I feel oda is just creating character designs adds them to fill panel. And then moves on with main plot points ditching both story and characters he creates.

Well it's kinda worse.
At least with kalifa he needed the key so he was <<forced>> to stay and try to take it.
With black maria he could move super fast without even noticing him or put the suit on and became invisible and get the heck out of there.
Him staying there feels to forced just to be there for some reason.
And it looks bad.
Sorry for my English...

What is the point of this? We already saw that Sanji will never hit a woman back in Enies Lobby. Oda is literally repeating the same plot point in the exact same way.

Sanji refuses to fight a woman, Sanji then gets beaten up, then someone saves him.

The only difference is that this time instead of Nami saving Sanji it’s gonna be Robin. This is just pure trash because we already know what’s gonna happen because we already saw it happen before.

What do you guys think of this?
I like that. Sanji stills follows his morale code.
But he could at least dodge Black Maria and Family for the the sake of Nami and Robin.
Plot will save him but he could have assured Robin capture.
