Character Discussion Is Zoro equal to Luffy in both portrayal and strength wise

Why should Zoro be equal to luffy, if luffy would always fight the stronger opponent.

1. Zoro trains when the others dont
2. There might be a point where luffy already reach his peak and zoro is still catching up until some point where they become equal

Just look at the fights Zoro has gotten since the timeskip (Monet, Pica) and the enemies Luffy has defeated (Caesar, Doflamingo, Katakuri), while learning both future sight and advanced armament haki.

Their portrayal isn't even close.

Arbitrary powerlevel wise it should be Luffy>Zoro, in a fight Zoro should win on paper since, even if Luffy is meant to be stronger, Zoro has an advantage in match up which should more than bridge that difference, but on paper that happens to be this manga even considering that advantage Luffy would still win.

TLDR: Zoro could win in Death Battle but Luffy would win in One Piece

What has Zoro shown outside of high attack power that even remotely suggest he's comparable to Luffy in overall stats and abilities? Zoro didn't even have an answer to G4 before, and now Luffy has Future Sight and Advanced Armament. On paper it's a boot stomp in Luffy's favor.

That's because Big Mom and Kaido keep going after Luffy, because he is the biggest threat to them on the roof. Its hard enough dealing with one Yonko, let alone a second one attacking you every time you turn your back.

If thats true, why BM told Kaido to dodge Zoro attack. Lol Luffy ass just has a form thats not that good which greatly puts him at risk to increase his power n speed. While people like Zoro fights smartly. Luffy since the start of the timeskip spams the shit out of CoA hardening, while Zoro used it when needs too. Luffy is then turned into a liability that people has to waste energy protecting, something Zoro doesn't have.
