The point is to see if people think zoro was sought out and recruited to the crew in a special way other than the other straw hats, Because i proved in the OP thats the case.

- Luffy recruited Usopp, without Usopp bringing anything to the crew
- Luffy allowed Robin to join, even though she was in the villain group they just defeated
- Franky's family wanted him to join the SHs, Luffy never actually was that interested in Franky.

But non of them were sought out like Zoro and Luffy never heard of any of them like he did with zoro
But non of them were in the previous Villain group like Robin
But non of them betrayed the crew before joining like Nami
But non of them were recruited just because they were Luffy's friend like Usopp

Pretty sure Zoro wasn't the only famous person around lmao.
And Zoro wasn't even a pirate, he was a pirate hunter which is not usually the guy you want to recruit lol.
Also, after Zoro, Luffy never really heard about somebody in the news or some shit and was interested in them to join before knowing them.
I guess just to highlight the fact that Zoro had Luffy personally looking for him while the others just happened to be on the way.

But why does that alone make him special tho ? Like I said Robin and her group went up against the SHs, and Luffy still allowed her to join. No SH was on the villain side, then was still allowed to join the crew. I dont see why Luffy recruiting a person due to their notoriety makes that recruitment process more special. Each SH recruitment was different in their own way. It's just plain wrong to say Zoro's one was special and the rest was the same. Because the rest was not the same, they were all different.
