How long he can maintain it, and how hard his haki can become is two different things. Why would the length of how long Luffy can use G4 have any bearing on how hard it can become?

people can go out of haki luffy said that during his fight vs kata. he just didn't want to wait for kata to go out of coo preserve he wanted to surpass him at his full power. when luffy is oit of haki gear4 ends.

I think people need to finally grasp that Jack isnt YC lvl without hybrid. If yall remember Ennies Lobby, the CP9 main fighting style was with Hybrid. Hybrid is obviously the strongest and most combat effcient form

Jack cant possibly be YC3 in base/full zoan then still be YC3 in Hybrid. Dude is probably below YC lvl without Hybrid, as of now he's only threatening due to his endurance and thats due to his DF's recovery rate.

The veterans are no where near YCs. It'd be seen when Perospero will be beaten by Sulong Carrot / Wanda when Jack could destroy an army of Sulong minks(with multiple of them stronger than Carrot / Wanda) without even using hybrid

Perospero is also Big Mom's first son, and has been apart of the Piracy World much longer than any of his other siblings, yet as far as we know, he still wasn't Sweet Commander material. And this is the guy who was thinking if someone happened to Big Mom, her succession should go by age not strength, cause he knew he couldn't beat out Kata in that regard.

haki strength does mater because when luffy is out of haki gear 4 ends. and if your haki too weak to block a bite then it's weak to perform gear 4.

Yet again, the technique matters with G4th as Luffy uses G4th tensile force to increase his AP, not Haki. Perhaps his timelimit is only 30 minutes because Luffy's Haki is weak? That's a possibility as well in which extreme Haki blooms can fix these drawbacks a bit imo.

He fled from YC Magellan, got one shot by Akainu, couldn't One Shot Wadatsumi, was scared by Perospero's attack, was Blitzed by Katakuri, couldn't do anything when Oven fried Pedro's hand

He's closer to Franky than Sanji

He never fought a fresh Law without backup

His injuries weren't that serious as they were trying to pin him down, not kill him. What could fresh Law do that he couldn't when they fought on the bridge? His power's all DF

Doffy says it himself that Law bit off more than he could chew when he planned to fight him(the chapter where he gets his arm cut off). They were never even close in strength, nerf or no nerf.
