She is using her full strength to make him feel pain and to quickly call for Robin. Your problem is that your highly underestimating Sanji. BM called Sanji "So Strong", last chapter. She knows he's completely above her physically. So she has no reason to hold back. She only wants him to feel pain and call for Robin.

She wants him to feel pain. To make a person like Sanji who is far above her feel pain, she needs to use full force.

Well, he COULD just take the beating and die right there.
But the thing is, he knows the scabbards are gonna be attacked.
That changes things. Better to suck it up and just make the call, since he believes Robin is gonna be fine either way, and go help Kinemon and the others.
He is very aware of his shortcomings, even joking about it to Robin and Brook. He chose to make a fool of himself, than to betray his convictions. The scene is fine. :P
