Oda been giving Crocodile better portrayal than Mihawk lately though especially at Marineford War. Plus if Crocodile can just touch him, he drains the man of his fluids. It be instant win if Mihawk isn't careful. I think put extreme diffed either way to be safe on both sides.

Whether he expected it or not, don't think it was Crocodile going in for sneak attack as being a Logia, he wouldn't be that direct.

Plus Mihawk could easily ended it in one-shot like he did to Jimbei when they fought. It didn't end like that as both didn't go down in the fight.

Who still fought evenly with Mihawk, so wonder what makes Mihawk then on unable to get passed him, but could with Daz Bones his underling? Again Oda put reason why for that as he isn't same lvl from before in Alabasta Arc.

That's exactly the point. Luffy had plot armor and so did Crocodile. Crocodile was defeated by fodder Luffy, a normal manga reader would never dare to compare him to Doffy let alone Mihawk.
