Depends how the various phases go. But once you leave the Yonko you aren't guaranteed to come back. Remember the stupid plotcage in Dressrosa after Zoro was done with Pica.

I mean, I’m sure it’s Marco vs King.

But if on the odd chance Zoro gets him instead, it’s been built up that Zoro’s biggest moment on Wano will be against Kaido, not King. It’s really a win-win here.

The problem is that Zoro might reopen the scar and then King gets in the way and it's bye bye Yonko with the other novas piggybacking on Zoro's wound.
