General & Others Why does Oda give Mihawk such little hype?

#21
Because Luffy's underling Zoro will surpass this guy.

Luffy > Zoro/Sanji (underlings) > mihawk, how important this guy could be?

Oda closed the door for the last time in marineford battle, he tried to hype mihawk by matching Luffy's weakest version Pre-TS, because Luffy vs. mihawk will never happen again, Luffy's underlings will deal with him, just like WB's underlings Jozu and Vista dealt with him.

When Luffy fights the bosses like Shanks, Kaido or BB, Zoro or Sanji will beat mihawk, so mihawk can't be that important.
Luffy going surpass that scrub BB too. Guess he not important

Are you trying to claim that all of his attacks are the same?

:gokulaugh:

This it's what happened when Luffy encountered Mihawk.

Luffy didn't want anything to do with him and ran from him. Lufy wasn't concerned about fighting anybody else including admirals.

Mihawk could have killed Luffy anytime he wanted.

Mihawk with just pushing Luffy away and he didn't even realize it. He wasn't trying to cut him.

PS:
WB having a heart attack and he only had a very few confrontations.

He even told Whitebeard to not get in his way.
Before the heart attack caused a tsunami.

He defeated a giant and sent an earthquake to another island for that contained blow.

He moved the island and the sea lifting the tectonic plates and defeated another giant sending a massive wave to the platform.

Clashed equally with Akainu.

And other things...

But according to you, couldn't he stop,
deflect or disappear the mihawk attack he saw approaching while smiling without dying in the attempt?

ROFLMAO

Another thing hyping Mihawk is that he was introduced more than 900 chapters ago and has still never been scratched or injured.
It is because in 900 chapters he went to the east blue to hunt Don Krieg, to defeat the version of ZoLo fodder and in marineford Vista forced him to postpone the fight, so his opponents on screen have not been exactly the strongest

Mihawks “great” hype

post poning his fight with vista

saying he won’t hold back and yet failing to kill pre timeskip luffy

getting his slash cut by jozu

ducking shanks

Amazing hype and portrayal

Mihawk fans need to understand that zoro hype doesn’t equal mihawk hype.

Oda can kill mihawk to shiryu for example. Then zoro would need to surpass shiryu. Hell if that happens that could mean zoro surpasses mihawk end of wano but has to surpass shiryu now.

that’s why this zoro hype equals mihawk hype nonsense shouldn’t be entertained

Meh. Oda hasn’t given Mihawk the best on-panel feats, I won’t deny that.

You still underestimate him though. That casual iceberg feat was proof that he’s one of the strongest characters in the series.
