I'm not sure if it's canon or not but I don't remember it ever revealed who he is. I think he should be the one that replaces Kuma as a warlord.

Why can't Kaido be the fight for both?

Zoro and Luffy have the most reason to fight Kaido out of the entire alliance, next to Yamato ofc. They'll all confront Kaido going forward

Luffy has said multiple times how he's gonna beat Kaido. Zoro has only said it once. By that logic Luffy has more claim and motivation to beat him.
