General & Others Is Zoro the vice-captain or close? Is he Lufy's right-hand man?

Closest thing is not enough. Sanji is pretty close to a vice-captain as well.
They split into 3 groups by Captain's orders, not 2. Luffy doesn't separate Sanji from Zoro.

OT; maybe. We really don't know much about Ray except his face value info. Nothing deep for us to actually make a conclusion on a parallel.
Then nothing puts Zoro in that vice-captain-like position other than joining to the crew as a first member.
- Leading a group of the crew when its necessary? Sanji does that.
- Having the greatest bounty after the Captain? Sanji has that currently, not Zoro.
- He gives trust to his crewmates, like he did in Enies Lobby and he helped Usopp so he could find a way to be useful.
- Being clever and wiser than his captain when its necessary as a vice-captain? Sanji is clearly smarter than Zoro.
- No one ever called Zoro vice-captain, and no one cares about Zoro's authority, especially not Sanji.
Zoro has no parallel with Rayleigh, definitely not because he didn't join Luffy's crew at the beginning, lol at reaching to find a parallel like refusing to join, Sanji refused to join Luffy at the beginning as well. Sanji can be a vice-captain just as easily, and he would never accept Zoro as a vice-captain, who would never accept Sanji as a vice-captain as well. They are equals.
If you want to find a reaching parallel like that how about this?
- Sanji tells Luffy to piss off when Luffy first invites him to his crew.
- They both are blonde
- They both like women
- They both have similar mustaches
- One is ''dark'' king and the other is ''black'' leg

Was Luffy starting and without his ship when he met Sanji?

They are similair in how they seem to be exceptional and beyond what normal first mates / second strongest in crew are like
They also do share some traits but they are not carbon copies lol
Zoro gonna be much more than Ray who just sailed with Roger and after that became a drunkard bum
TBH it's pretty interesting he is "Dark King" yet he clearly didn't have any big ambition since he didnt do shit after Roger died

Chinjao is Yc1+ , at least high high tier, at best Inbetweener.
Luffy was oneshotted by Kaido and it doesnt stop.gim from being above common high tiers.
