Come on guys, Rayleigh parallels to Zoro are more obvious than Sanji parallels to Rayleigh

Luffy and Zoro share a similar relationship as Roger and Rayleigh

Luffy and Sanji didn't even have their "duo" panels let alone similarities

Luffy and Zoro meeting is "similar (not same)" to Roger and Rayleigh

Zoro acts upfront when Luffy is not there or down for count (Thriller bark, EL, Wano etc.)

The difference being that Zoro didn't have CoC and Sanji neither
Rayleigh is extremely clever while Zoro is dumb and Sanji is smart

Nah

Zoro and luffy is a duo of dumbasses

I thought this was cleared up where we saw roger interact with rayleigh asking ray to join his crew and ray laughed at him and asked him to piss off.
eerily similar to luffy's interaction with zoro .
aside from a couple scars and the position they hold in the crew tho, its not a clear parallel but its there. people getting down to rayleigh being a womanizer/logical are funny. luffy isnt roger's parallel because he is not a alcoholic right?
parallels arent always character traits. They arent exact copies, but his interaction with luffy should be/is similar to the interaction roger had with ray aka his partner.

These are all the hints showing how Oda clearly considers him the VA

Because of just that one scene?

Was Zoro around?

How does this show Sanji is closer to vice-captain than Zoro?

Is he showing leadership? Is he calling the shots with Zoro?

You mean like when Sanji demanded dignity from captain when wanting Usopp back without his apology?

No one is saying he is vice-captain. And saying no one cares about his authority is just ignoring the manga. He was the one who told them to abandon Merry. Even Sanji complied.

None of these examples show Zoro and Sanji being close to the vice-captain role together. At best, it shows Sanji being "third in command."

You're missing the symbolism for the boat. Zoro's parallel to Rayleigh is being the right-hand to the Pirate King. Rayleigh's flashback was to show readers how similar Roger's start was to Luffy, giving the vice-captain the Zoro role. Your Sanji comparison doesn't rebuke anything. Was Luffy starting and without his ship when he met Sanji?
What scene? All you think Zoro saying piss off means that they have parallels with Rayleigh, lol. Zoro was in an execution platform and desperate to being saved, while Rayleigh was in no desperate position like that. Completely irrelevant.

Yes, when Zoro is around Sanji takes command.

Because who ever is the vice-captain / right-hand that person takes the second highest bounty in that crew ; Big mom / Katakuri.

I doubt any member of Big mom pirate surpassed Katakuri's bounty before in Big mom pirates, except for the captain. Sanji surpassed Zoro's bounty.

Zoro never a calling shot lmao. Even Chopper says Zoro is an idiot.

You can't find a parallel like this with Rayleigh, imagine Buggy is calling Rayleigh like this :milaugh:

''Demanded dignity'' what? Sanji knew Usopp should apology, but he didn't say it. Zoro is a grumpy guy, even his own crew calls him idiot, so he can do that as a grumpy person, when Nami disagreed Sanji said that idiot is right for ''this time''. Zoro never call any shot, not while Sanji is around.

''Unfortunately'', ''this time'' :suresure:

You find the only scene that Zoro is right for all of his life, and you say that he can act like vice-captain because of this.

Then they have no parallels with Rayleigh. Rayleigh is officially the vice-captain, and he has far more respect among his crewmates as a vice-captain, they are completely different characters.

Those scenes shows that Sanji is in command, just like Zoro. They are equals. And Sanji definitely doesn't care about Zoro's authority.

Luffy had no ship before meeting with Zoro. While Roger wanted Rayleigh and his ship. There is no parallel, it's just you want to desperately see a parallel between the two characters because of your wishes.

So why has oda never had anyone question why sanji isnt the captain ? Or straight up call him vice captain? Why has oda never done that with sanji like he has with zoro. You know considering theyre equals...

I believe

Since, Sanji is not anywhere considered the VC, he is the cook of the SH pirates so any parallel with Ray is pointless at the beginning ( Womanizer Bullshit etc..)
Zoro parallel Roger, since both Like to drink and both use a sword.
Omg youre right
Zoro parallels roger
Swordsman
Love to drink
Argue with ships doctor about their health
Both pirates
Whod have thunk it...

Luffy doesn't parallel Roger, only if you stretch it.
Luffy doesn't kill, doesn't drink, run from enemies in given circumstances, doesn't have a rival, neither has a assassin face.

If you use the logic of being partner and VC, then Benn and Shanks are closer to it.

Shanks drinks, kills, doesn't run.
Benn is Shanks partner, kills, drinks a lot, is a strategist, probably a chad, the only difference is that he seems to not use a sword.

Red Hair Pirates imo resemble Roger Pirates more, specially since Shanks saw Roger alive and was with him, so he'd try to "copy" Roger's way of living.

Zoro parallels shanks
Swordsmen
Love to drink
Fought mihawk
Have a crew mate who eats meat
Scars on their eye

Again, missing the symbolism for the boat and you're fixating on one aspect of my argument (they told them to piss off).

A one-arc bounty doesn't stop Zoro from being Luffy's right-hand man. It doesn't make Sanji any closer to vice-captain. Usopp had a higher bounty than Sanji after Dressrosa. Is Usopp just as close to vice-captain as Zoro and Sanji?

Zoro never a calling shot lmao. Even Chopper says Zoro is an idiot.

Luffy has been called idiot plenty of times, so do parallels with Roger cease?

''Demanded dignity'' what? Sanji knew Usopp should apology, but he didn't say it. So Zoro is still the one who demanded dignity from his captain while everyone else said nothing, including Sanji.

You find the only scene that Zoro is right for all of his life, and you say that he can act like vice-captain because of this.
You're ignoring the Going Merry scene.

Those scenes shows that Sanji is in command, just like Zoro. They are equals. And Sanji definitely doesn't care about Zoro's authority.
None of them show him taking charge with Zoro there, so you're off base.
