But if people want to argue that Zoro blocked that massive attack with strength alone, which implies that he could have done better with haki, I will not fight them

Ryuo is what samurais call haki. They learn haki to add it to their sword. Haki is a foreign word to Wano citizens. To be able to add haki to a sword or any weapon you have to know flowing haki. Just ability to release or flow haki from your body.

It was a combination of barrier Ryuo/haki and physical strength.

Based off the trajectory of the hit I disagree. The way it was deflected in such a wide area makes barrier haki very likely.

Zoro has had that level of barrier haki since FMI. Not just a coat his swords with it but to extend it from his body.

This confirms Zoro used haki against Hakai. This doesn't mean he didn't also use physical strength either.

So zoro doesn't know barrier haki thats what Luffy has been using, Internal destruction he won't touch kaido at all
