Glad Oda skipped all the meetings and recruiting with the other scabbards. This would have taken for ever if he would do the same thing he did with Kinemon and Denjiro...

I imagine the events we already know about Oden are going to be sped through, while new events will be taken steadily. Oden's entire life is very long but think Oda wants to wrap it up in less than 10 chapters.

Raizo, Kanjuro and Kiku being deflected is definitely traitor bait. These characters exist in the current storyline he could have each tell about their upbringings independent of their time spent with Oden at anytime.

Also is it me or the pacing feels weird? Parts that should be explored are skipped...useless shit is getting focus...I just don't dig Wano as i thought I would

Oda skip the flashback of raizo, kawamatsu, kanjuro and ashura suggest that one of them must be a traitor...

We've seen Ashura's mini flashback with him fighting Oden and we've Kawamatsu caring about Hiyori deeply in a flashback so that just leaves with Raizou and Kanjuro.
Yet again Kanjuro seems to have not that much relevancy and it seems Oda is planning for him to do something *cough cough traitor cough cough.

Did Oda really skip the Oden vs Ashura battle he himself used as an initial build-up to hype Oden over a battle against some random pig?

Interested however by Izo's involvement into all this, especially since Oda implied it to be covered in an SBS before

Though i wished Oda focused more on the rise of former rock members, especially Shiki who we're still in the dark of despite planning something huge in chapter0.

I like the pacing, but if it's to skip the most important parts, it's not worth it. I Guess that since Izo was Kiku's elder brother, Oda will do a twist on him concerning who is the original 9th, how Izo decided to follow Oden on Whitebeard's ship, why he decided to stay on Whitebeard's ship and more importantly, where he is right now

I should probably for the chapter to find ways to solve this mystery though since it leads to potential great theories

I dont care really in ashura vs oden fight but I wish we get more on the concuering udon part.

I think the flashback ends when we get whitebeard.

I think that Oda Will Just Jump from the present time to Oden's flashbacks during Wano more times, in order to fit the story telling with the current plot ( Traitor, Toki info, Kaido fight etc..).

I think Oda is clearly planning on Luffy defeating Kaido on chapter 1000. War chapters don't last long so we got plenty of time, and he's trying to stretch it there by flashbacks.

End of next year, Kaido will be defeated it. Mark it down.

It seems that Oda wanted to educate those who believed that a Shogun was a true military leader and that he was chosen for his fighting prowess. Orochi being the Shogun makes perfect sense because despite being clearly weaker than the elite of Wano samurais he's much more intelligent and cunning than them.

I would of preferred him to be the true elite because I'm a battles enthusiast but he is already a strategic man so that's cool too
