When chapter 1040 rolls around and it's the middle-end of Act 4 with the fights still raging on, don't say I didn't warn you all lol

Oda generally takes more time to end fights than setting them up, and we haven't even finished setting up some of these fights (i.e. Sanji/Chopper/Yamato)

I agree with your point the reason i think he's going to wrap it up faster than usual is because of time.

Terrible time management in dressrosa and WCI and running out of time he wants to wrap it all up as fast as possible IMO

Right, it is time to acknowledge this issue. No story lasta forever, no writer can go on for decades. When I think about supporting characters, I have a list:
Oden was a big shot,
He had 10 scabbards
His father's interactions, the Mimawarigumi,
Scabbards have their background stories,
Those background characters have their moments (Kinemon's wife, Yasoi's child, Gyukimaru, and so on).

Then there is Orochi, his 2 forces,
Orochi's past, linking the old hag in his past to previous legends.

And at the end, scabbards did nothing to Kaido, Orochi did nothing to alliance and Kaido.
When strawhats are going to do most of the work, then why hype other characters to the point that it seems useless. Dont forget about that Robin hood kinda guy. A lot of things can be simplified, but no, we have to stretch everything for world building.

So I've seen some comments saying that Ashura is made of Haoushoku? Like wtf?

Anyways I just want to say that it's better to wait until tomorrow or Thursday to understand that a bit better as I think Zoro just imbues his Ashura attack with Haoushoku as we've seen many times already with other characters. I'm saying this because too many people think too much about things that machine translators translates and as you can see, the provider omitted part of the text that Kaidou says.

Ah ok. Seems a bit out of character for Kidd to just drop Kaido like that but whatever lol. If Luffy and Zoro take down Kaido, while Kidd and Killer take down Big Mom it could be a way of further establishing their rivalry I guess. I’m still hoping Kidd and Killer get at least one moment of revenge on Kaido after all they’ve been through because of him.

they still think Oda will off screen fights which makes absolutely no sense

They don´t understand the different.
Luffy wouldn´t making a question and asking Kaido if he fuse his CoC with his attacks, Kaido saying only the strongest one can do it.
With means Luffy not have it, weak as guys like DonChinjao and Doffy also not have it, even Katakuri don´t have it.

Oda make it special in the moment when Ashura was shown and Kaido reveale his power.
Adv CoC is very rare and not everyone have it.

Basic CoC:
Luffy,Katakuri,Doffy and DonChinjao

Rare adv CoC:
Kaido, Zoro with Ashura

You're an absolute tool. Doflamingo is a CoC specialist. He unlocked CoC when he was 10 just like Ace. That's why Trebol made him his leader when he was a kid.

There is no "rare advanced CoC". Kaido just sensed Zoro using CoC in an all out attack. Not before. There is only putting CoC behind your attacks.

Zoro with Ashura seems to be Oden level or at least offensively. Paradise Waterfall ~ Great Thousand Worlds(Large AOE, mountain cutter), New Ashura Technique ~ Paradise Totsuka(High penetrating power, CoC imbued).

Kaido might lose 1 on 1 against Luffy after, due to the cumulative damage he took earlier, pretty much like Doflamingo hit with Gamma Knife. Luffy will finally pull out attacks above KKG, best I can see Kaido do is maybe barely getting back up, and finally finished for good by a combined attack from representatives of the New Gen or something.

More Mihawk hype though, for Zoro to be doing this.
