I doubt CoC has anything to do with creating a black blade. Shanks and Rayleigh have been hyped for their CoC whereas Mihawk hasn't. I really doubt it's about CoC.

So since it's a Fact that Zoro was for quiet a long period superior than Luffy then it's not far-fetched to say Zoro is stronger than Luffy.

So it's obvious that he also Recruited "Best Fighter"
