Ngl, it's pretty crazy that Kaido is going to keep fighting despite having a wound now that scarred him, like blood is going to leak everytime from that wound. On top of that the Gamma Knife effects are probably gonna kick in too.

That would also explain Marco role right now. Stalling King and Queen til Zoro and Sanji get their fights at the same time (maybe that's why Oda has been taking so much time to give Sanji his matchup)

My thoughts exactly at this time.

Oda needed a character that was strong enough to hold then off before more meaningful fights come along for them. It's also very likely why they haven't received "too" much focus yet either
