Lol in the end, it's going to be zoro vs King, sanji vs Queen? How predictable.

Honestly never expected anything more or less. I've been saying this for months and it's funny cause I'm pretty sure both Zoro and Sanji fans have been getting pissed everytime I say it.

Oda's writing is very much comfort food to himself.

- He doesn't truly risk the plot with character deaths unless it's extremely signficant.
- He doest truly shake up plot structure, if at all, outside of the Paramount War (which already has a ton of exceptions to how Oda normally writes)
- He always has Luffy fight the main villain
- He always has Zoro and Sanji, when given fights, fight the #2 and 3 of an arc respectively.


You can even see here that while he gave Kaido a shit ton of battle exposure the last 20 chapters (to hype a Yonko), he:

- Used Marco to stall King and Queen with their matchups
- Is (allegedly) using Perospero somehow to end that stalling
- Has refused to give Sanji a matchup yet, as well as Yamato potentially
- Has now sent Zoro and Law back down under the roof.

To me its...so painfully obvious on what he's trying to do within the next 10 chapters. Broad scope with the matchups I mean

People actually thinking that Luffy won't fight Akainu

I am actually not sure about that one. Akainu is such a bad match-up for Luffy.
Luffy has to take a beating and he cant do that vs Akainu.
He would be dead after one clean hit.
He might fight Sengoku the Buddha instead.
But we will see, I guess. Maybe Luffy's GUTS neg diff magma too.

He can fight Imu after defeating Akainu. A world war is not finished in a single day after all.

That would be too much imo.......akainu still was doing his job.......he is not evil/power hungry.......chance of having two back to back fights is very slim.......plus if he defeats BB first who is mostly going to be > roger/WB...........I highly doubt akainu is > roger/Prime WB where he was not able to dominate mf WB..........

Akainu is the fleet admiral though, a significant notch above the other admirals.
Fujitora/Greenbull/Kizaru get their shit pushed in by Kaido, and Luffy won't have to grow much if at all to beat Akainu.

I think that's what Oda is going for very soon with the whole tragedy in act 3 ending, which is the SHs see Zoro on brink of death!!!

And the doctors (all of them, Chopper, Marco, Law) with their skills cannot heal him easily... so leaving it as a dramatic ending.. and depending on Zoro's own will to survive... and naturally he will survive and by end of act 4 maybe even has his 1 vs 1 fight

Yeah Wano desperately lacks that dramatic effect... (Onigashima landing on flower capital could suddenly increase the stakes and tension hundred fold) but Zoro struggling between Life and Death will be more personal for Luffy and his crew!! Tension will be at an all time high if it happens...
