It it possible that subconciously he DID want to get teleported or was ok with it.
Tanking this for any longer would have damaged Zoro to such an extent he might not have survived it.
Like with Kuma's ability where people are being sent to the place were they are "supposed" to go.

Well based on these spoilers zoro was the only that actually made kaido bleed ALOT. And this was a zoro who was on the verge of death. So essentially an injured zoro has done what a healthy luffy has failed and is still failing to do
