Yes, any blade can become Black Blade, but not everyone can forge it into black. Like i said, with CoC, it would explain why's there only two black blades (depends on explanation), because i don't believe that between Ryuma and Mihawk, there were no swordsmen with strong enough CoA to make a black blade.

Also another Hint is that Zoro needs to make Three Blades Black & coincidentally his Willpower Manifest into Trion Demon
Which recently Zoro showed alongside CoC which should be no coincidence
It's a Hint that Zoro can put his CoC into Three Blades, not just One
It's basically a Choice that Adv CoC Users can Make, it's whether to keep using Adv CoC themselves or put it in their Blades making them Permanently Buffed & Imbued with CoC
This could also be the reason Oda removed Shusui & replaced it with Enma
Which is also the reason, Oda didn't give Oden Black Blades, because Zoro needs to learn how to Forge one so Oda kept Enma White

I feel like there’s going to be a secret reason for a black blade that isn’t connected to haki.
Roger and Shanks are set to have some of the strongest haki in the series and the fact that neither had black blades is interesting.
It would also be weird if it’s purely a haki thing because that means Zoro would just turn all 3 of his swords black simultaneously.

The functionality of CoC doesn't fit. That's the issue here. CoC can be used to dominate the Wills of others, and for external coating to allow for attacks to penetrate much deeper into the body. Nothing about it fits with turning a Blade permanently black.
CoA on the other hand screams making a Blade Black. The rarity is even explainable when you add Haki specialties to the mix, because anyone can unlock CoA, but not everyone specializes in it.

I don’t thinks so. Roger was likely a top COC user : pirate king, biggest ambition, straw hat bearer, goal of the MC etc etc. And didn’t have black blade.
Same for great great conquerors like WB, Ray etc.
It is likely COA related. Or CoC has different applications but don’t think so for now. Especially when we know that Zoro speciality will be COA

Forging Black Blades is a Choice
It doesn't mean Roger & WB & Shanks weren't capable of doing so
It's basically a Choice whether to keep your CoC for yourself or Buff your Sword Permanently
Zoro having CoC is a Fact now & Black Blades being CoC Forged helps Luffy & Zoro take different Paths to avoid similar Fighting Style
