The mask guy never said he will surpass Oden or may surpass Oden.
He didnt beat killed with 2 swords attack, he need a 3rd weapon with haki to do so. Poison didn't make him faint stop the dumb thing plz.
Anyway, he stuff you are listing didnt impact the story as Luffy taking over Udon!
Without that, they will lack manpower , they won't have Hyou/Kawamastu, they won't be able to make progress. In fact Kaido and Co would have crushed the alliance as soon as he learns X broke out .so lufdy taking Udon and making it seem as if no prisoner escapes , save the alliance big time
