It's more shallow, repetitive, flanderised (exaggerated) and such. OP had better humour pre TS, the Crocus gag when he appeared is one of the funniest things I've ever seen, especially in the anime ofc!

I've felt Oda's writing has worsened post TS in regards to the SHs as well, not just the gags. Sanji is the worst case scenario for this too ofc.
