You just said “kaido is preparing to attack” which means you are commenting on the point of the thread that is about the fact that Kaido clearly attacked Zoro and somehow FAILED TO DO ANYTHING
So no, you are both wrong about Kaido preparing to attack and wrong about kaido still being in the mindset of letting people hit him since he actively dodges weaker attacks before this

Chapter 1000, Kaido PREPARING to attack Luffy. Luffy dodged and landed Red Roc on him. Luffy blitzed Kaido? NO. Because he was the one blitzed just after that.
Chapter 1001(or 1002? Not sure) Killer and Zoro attack Kaido, Kaido puts his weapon in front of him like he is defending. It is odd but so far Kaido is letting everybody hits him, he is clearly fast enough to dodge if he wants.
Kaido only dodge one attack, from Luffy. Why? Because Red Roc hurt him bad. And he knew Luffy was doing a similar attack only at his base form since G4 can't use adv armament. Zoro only hurt Kaido bad with Ashura, if Zoro kept fightining Kaido would start to dodge his attacks too.
I'm not saying Zoro can't blitz Kaido. I just think he didn't.

the first is haki barrier, the same that stopped Hakai just chapters ago.
The second is Kaido's club and Zoro's swords clashing before Kaido lifts his club up.
Oda didnt make that scene easy but anime should clear it up.
Interestingly the clash of barrier and metal also makes the same KLANG sfx.

Are you saying those impacts in the panel are Zoro hitting Kaido? So Zoro hitting Kaido produces the sound effect “Clang”? Kaido’s body made of metal?
And Zoro cutting Kaku with 9 sword style Ashura produced ONE cut as well so your theory on only Enma working is wrong.
And finally, Do you remember chapter 1008? When all the supernovas were wondering whether their attacks were working on Kaido and Luffy said YES, ALL of them must be damaging Kaido. Meaning Kaido has been taking damage from everyone. Kaido wasn’t just hurt by Red Roc in chapter 1000 and the nothing else. Him dodging Luffy’s regular red hawk NOT RED ROC isn’t an indicator that for some reason he fears Red hawk more than ALL THE OTHER ATTACKS THAT HAVE BEEN DAMAGING HIM. are you going to say Luffy’s entire g4 barrage did less damage than red Roc? No? So why is Kaido specifically smchoosing to dodge Red hawk supposedly because it has fire on it like red Roc?

Hory shet, I didnt think of scenario that Kaido used barrier to defend from Asura and then lifted his club to strike him.
If that is the case, then Asura feat is even more impressive than I initially thought.

That's how swordsmen work, they dont need anything else. They have the most powerful tool in their hands already. 
There are actually 6 new moves but nothing special. The most notable among them is the Secret technique, Crossing of the Six Paths.
Zoro's swordsmanship is top tier and doesnt change much since East Blue.
Many moves used in Wano were used in East Blue as well.
The only notable change were flying slashes and Asura but flying slashes might have been in EB too if Tatsumaki is considered one.
