Luffy has been knocking kaido down since 923 in kuri.
Hes done fuck all actual damage to him.

Don't expect Luffy to likely undergo a ginormous growth post Final War unless God Tiers are introduced. Meanwhile it doesn't seem likely he will solo Akainu in there.

The most built up Luffy's enemy with BB, the one who gave him the scar, his main marine opponent in this era which will surpass every precedent eras, them being fated to fight later in the story (maybe even in the Final War), the sworn enemy of piracy etc....weaker than Kaido? Arguing about a Blueno treatment is stupid anyway but if people want to argue about this shit, it's more likely that an EoS opponent like Akainu does that to Kaido than Luffy doing it to Akainu

I thought the fan expectation was that Zoro would fight Kaido, cut and wound him while others fought he wouldn't reach the rooftop and fight Kaido at all. Or that he would get outshined by the SN captains.

When the reality was Zoro did the most after Luffy.

It was expected, too many parallels to Oden, wielding Enma, it was obvious, otherwise would be disappointing
