Kaido also has zoan regen, Luffy doesn't.
A "fresh" Luffy is now automatically a LOT stronger than what he was when he started the fight, now that he has adv CoC, it is debatable how much other characters did in terms of damage, Luffy put Kaido down for a few pages due to G4 Internal damage, nothing has come close to that.
If you can't understand these basic differences you have issues.

It would appear that Luffy's G4 is no more as much as a big game changer than in the past, due the advent of advanced forms of haki and not just that.

It was massive in Dressrosa, but it was realized that G3 Red Roc would also inflict Kaido some consistent damage. G4 was still a big differential, game changer, but no more as much ratio wise.

The gap might have shrunken further with the coming of ACoC.

Base Luffy does equal Hybrid Kaido (hence 20+ minute fight), unfortunately he has taken far more damage than Kaido before reaching that level of development, hence an unbalanced fight if you want to compare fresh states.
