After all these powerups, Kaido still ended up washing Luffy. But why off panel though. Maybe he will save it for the final battle at the capital.

Luffy hasn‘t dropped from the rooftop and even then, rooftop will end soon. The mainfight will be on the land + I wouldn‘t be surprised, if Oda turns Luffy into boundman to fly back, if the fight continues on the roof...

You're right, he didn't fall from the rooftop, he falled straight out of Onigahsima into the sea, and the spoilers say he is KO, so i don't know if can go into boundman, if he is knocked out.

Oh that makes sense. I thought Kaido just knocked him out immediately after their Haki clash. I am glad that wasn't the case.
