Who would melt? No one even expected Luffy to get slept the chapter after Zoro said what he did. The clear point is that everyone who was saying that Luffy wouldn't get outside help is completely wrong as Kaido's already seen Gear 4 but says the outcome couldn't be any different.

I think it's common sense that when anyone says, 'Luffy stans said this... or Zoro stans said this...', it refers to a lot of people in that group and not everyone. Obviously, everyone has their own individual opinions. It really reminds me of Crocodile situation... he was defeated EASILY in first round
Second round made Crocodile/Kaido go way more serious and had Luffy show techniques that affects both (Water in case of Croc/ Ryuu and supreme king’s haki in case of Kaido) and then both Kaido and Crocodile ended it in a min once they got super serious...

what’s left is the last round... which will actually have the same fucking line.. I promise you.. Luffy will say “I will surpass you” hhhhhh

Absolutely spot on my man @Aknolagon had a screen shot the amount of people who placed base luffy over all out Zoro after 1010 was ridiculous even placing him on same level as Kaido hybrid form. Then just 3 chapters later he is knocked out they needed that humble pie
