Obviously he's going to fight BM, but him leaving the roof is still kind of dumb. He could have helped Luffy against Kaido.

That’s what should have happened. He should have dropped Zoro off with Sanji and then went back to the roof to help his alliance partner who he alliance with to take down Kaido. Oda just forcing Law into this Big Mom fight for nothing. At least Kidds got some beef with her and it keeps up his rivalry with Luffy. Why put Law here instead of against Kaido?

Luffy ordered him, and he had to protect Zoro too. How he can just transfer Zoro down there, so that a fodder can finish off unconscious Zoro?

just cause these guys hurt hybrid kaido does not make them above oden who still gives kaido aches 20 yrs later.

oda saved the hybrid form for this fight.
he still respects oden as a combatant more than either of these two
they have to come back and fight him
they need to earn that recognition. not just for luffy
zoro as well, there was no sense of satisfaction from zoro in that moment. fighting king wont give him that either.
