I think that stopping onigashima from falling is either reserved for Luffy through which he awakens his devil fruit (makes the land below it rubber) or for Momo in his dragon form. But I can see him having an anti-cp0 stealth mission. Sounds pretty cool.

First of all, both the paramecia awakenings we've seen till now only do one thing- change the surroundings. Don't you think Oda is directly trying to tell something?

Secondly, doesn't Kaido want to make Onigashima fall on the castle rather than on the citizens? And Oda can easily explain the castle being empty by telling that everyone went to the banquet in Onigashima. I'm not saying this happens, I'm saying it's a possibility.

Try again. Luffy’s paramecia never gave him the ability to create rubber so why would his awakening be him turning stuff into rubber when he can’t even produce or control it to begin with. He can already bounce on air so what would such a useless awakening offer.

My theory on his awakenings:

Luffy’s awakening will most likely be one of the two things:

Vulcanized Rubber: The toughest type of rubber with an extreme resistance to heat, with Luffy already having flaming attacks like the Red Hawk and his latest one that utilizes G3 when he is awakened he should have full body flames as the ultimate homage to Ace and the Flame-Flame fruit, and be capable of more insane attacks. Also with this he will have a natural counter to Sakazuki’s magma.

Latex: The raw unprocessed form of rubber straight from the Gum-Gum tree. He will be Katakuri. (Be able to make haxy sticky stuff and possibly move his body around the same as Kata, not have his awakening)
