ZKK IS INEVITABLE.
Of course.

- Luffy never killed if not inadvertently
- Yamato probably won't push themselves as far as killing daddy no matter the factual level of despise
- Finding perfection in death like Kaido claimed
- Presumably preferring aforementioned perfection to a life of imprisonment

And I didn't even factor the eventuality that Zoro will need to assist Luffy in defeating him too.

How I see it is this.

Kaido will be defeated.

He will be chained up by momo who will present him to the citizens of wano.

During his speech either kidd or CP0 takes initiative to kill kaido most likely CP0.

CP0 killing kaido will be reminiscent of kuma in thriller bark. Most people don’t have a brain and say kuma=big mom which isn’t the case because she doesn’t fit anything similar to kuma in thriller bark.

Kuma is a villian in the arc who comes at the end when the pirates are exhausted and beat up. That’s CP0 which was foreshadowed In 1003.

That’s why kaido will die to CP0(most likely)

In the legend of momotaro the villian was chained up after which will happen to kaido. He will then die but not in the way he wanted.

A theory like ZKK doesn’t work because it achieves kaidos dream in dying in a glorious battle. CP0 killing kaido chained works because kaido would die without being able to fight or protect himself.

CP0 also has to reveal themselves at some point.

Remember kuma came after moriahs defeat the same will happen with CP0.

Oda said the ending of wano will be surprising and CP0 doing this actually fulfills the kuma role oda has set up with CP0.

My theory is that Kaido will be buried under Onigashima, at the bottom of the Sea.

One of the most popular theories of what Kaido's devil fruit was, was that of the Mythical God Typhon. One of the many reasons people theorized this was because of Kaido's Nickname "Hundred Beast" Kaido. Typhon was said to have a hundred heads all consisting of different animals.

Now obviously Oda went a different route with what Devil Fruit he gave to Kaido, but one thing that is very odd about Kaido's devil fruit, is that it is a "Fish" devil fruit. Of all the different variants of animals out there, why did Oda choose to make Kaido's Dragon Zoan, a variant of a fish?

So this brings me back to Kaido's nickname and how it lead people to speculate his Devil Fruit was that of Typhon. In Mythology, Typhon wages war against the Gods, and after thousands of years he is finally defeated by Zeus. However since he can't be killed, Zeus cast him into Tartarus and to keep him sealed there forever he places an Island (Some iterations a mountain) on top of Typhon.

With Kaido having a "Fish" devil fruit, means that if he was to be sunk to the bottom of the sea, he'd still be able to survive underwater. But simply sinking him into the Ocean wouldn't be enough to keep him there, as he could eventually be rescued. But if he were to be sunk to the bottom of the sea, and had Onigashima placed on top of him, then he would be doomed to spend the rest of eternity (Or until he dies of Old age, if he can) buried under the sea, unable to ever die a glorious death.

and oda said villians don't get what they want, and kaido is death :sanmoji:
I've answered this:
What bearing does this have on the thread?
:choppawhat:

Kaido not getting what he desires would be Kaido not going out in a blaze of glory. It would be Kaido's death not being as legendary as Oden's, Rogers's or Whitebeard's.

Oden's death has been spoken of for ages to come. It's known as "the Hour of Legends":

Roger's death marked the Dawn of the Great Age of Piracy:

Whitebeard's death reinvigorated said age and marked the end of an era, the era of Whitebeard:

The above are the kinds of death Kaido wants. Kaido being thwarted just means he won't get that glorious death, it doesn't mean he won't die.

This is wild fanfiction. The story is simply saying that Kaido will die. Of any method of death has been suggested, it's beheading.

Trying to base a theory on a discredited theory of Kaido's devil fruit is pretty egregious. Like, this is just terrible speculation.

There's no solid foundation for any of your speculation here. No basis in the manga, no basis in any preexisting theory that was proven right. The entire basis is a theory that has already shown itself to be wrong.

Lmao, you're joking about needing some kind of "preexisting theory", right? Since when does Oda give a shit about delivering on what he leads fans to expect to happen?

99.9 percent of the time, everyone gets it wrong, no matter what panels, or preexisting theories they want to pull up and use.

For example, if a theory makes 4 predictions and three have been shown right, you should become more confident that the 4th will be correct.

It doesn't matter that Oda likes to throw curve balls, that's just how epistemics work. It's the purpose of observation and experiments in the scientific method.

Oda doesn't just like to throw curve balls, he loves to lead the fandom in one direction, and then do something completely unexpected that nobody sees coming.

Right now he's making you all believe that there is no conceivable way for Kaido to be taken down and out of the picture without being killed. The Navy can't hold him. Wano will never be safe. The Straw Hats will never be safe. He MUST die, right? That's what Oda has everyone believing. So, which is the safer bet here? Oda is going to do what everyone is expecting him to do, which he's never done, OR, he going to do what he always does and show everyone that there's always another option? :choppawhat:

No it doesn't. Kaido's dream isn't merely to die in a glorious battle, but to get a glorious death. See:

Kaido getting beheaded by Zoro doesn't fulfill his dream, as the glory wouldn't be ascribed to his death, but to his executioner.

Look at the deaths Kaido aspires to:
  • Oden
    • No one talks about Orochi's legend of ordering Oden's punishment.
    • No one talks about Kaido's legend of killing Oden with a headshot.
    • Oden was the hero of his death.
  • Roger
    • No one knows the name of the fodder marines that killed Roger.
    • There is no legend of slaying the Pirate King.
    • Roger was the hero of his death.
  • Whitebeard
    • None of Whitebeard's many killers gained widespread infamy or fame from his death.
    • There is no legend of slaying Whitebeard.
    • Whitebeard was the hero of his death.

If Zoro were to behead Dragon Kaido, the legend would be about replicating Ryuma's own legend of cutting down a Flying Dragon over the Flower Capital. The legendary figure β€” the hero β€” of that story would be Zoro and not Kaido.

Getting beheaded by Zoro doesn't fulfill Kaido's dream of a legendary death, instead it thwarts it; Kaido's legend will be usurped by his executioner. All the fame and infamy, all the glory, the one they will sing songs and write prose about for decades to come shall not be the Dragon Tyrant, but the hero who killed him.

"Zoro cannot kill Kaido because it gives Kaido what he wants" is just a wrong take.
