I'm willing to bet Yamato gets no-low diffed (but still conscious).
A no/low difficulty is what happened to Post WCI Luffy in Kuri:
  • He did zero damage
  • He was instantly taken out with one named attack:
  • Thunder Bagua
Or even what happened to Chapter 1009 Luffy:
  • He did zero damage
  • He was taken out in one attack
    • Rag Naraku

I will consider Yamato to have proven you wrong if she demonstrates a better performance than these versions of Luffy.

I'll win the bet if Yamato accomplishes at least TWO of the below.
  1. She deals noticeable damage:
    • We see Kaido bruised.
    • We see Kaido bleeding.
    • We see Kaido cough or spit up blood.
    • We see Kaido down for a while.
  2. She handles a named attack from Kaido:
    • She dodges e.g. a Thunder Bagua.
    • She deflects or parries a named attack.
    • She tanks a named attack.
  3. She pushes Kaido to use his Hybrid form.
  4. She holds her own against Kaido for at least 10 minutes:
    • E.g. we get a "30 minutes later" timeskip during the battle.
    • The battle continues while other events happen beneath the dome.
@HA001.

Then Yamato goes down to have her real fight (Jack or Smoothie)
Yamato's main arc opponent is Kaido. She has no build up to face either of those two.

This is like claiming that Zoro's main arc opponent is King.

Then Act 4, Luffy and Zoro recoup and join her.
I don't see Kaido facing all 3. Luffy alone could hold him off for 30 minutes+. Any two of the trip you mentioned should be more than enough to beat Kaido.

Besides, it's the Strawhats that eventually put down the primary antagonist, regardless of how important the allies may be (see Doflamingo & Law).

This bet you are heavily advantaged. I refuse.
The story shows us 1v1 Kaido wins yet you still expect Kaido to be continued on a 1v1. Do you doubt Zoro Luffy joining to fight Kaido?
:kaidowhat:
Feel like ur underrating Kaido ode despite what we’re shown.

The conditions are simple. Yamato gets defeated this next chapter and/or the chapter we return from the flashback.

A time parameter cannot be determined since I don’t believe Oda has wrote in a single one throughout the raid

3 Power Ups Luffy can't do shit to Kaido, but no no you're right, please tell me how Yamato in a 1v1 will push Kaido to a mid-high diff. :milaugh:
You don't know how strong Yamato is. You're assuming that she gets destroyed because of your headcanon about her power level. The truth is we don't actually know how strong Yamato is. She's as strong as Oda wants to make her, and we have little idea where that is.

Oda's going to have this "mythical zoan, built up to be strong combatant" Yamato take on Kaido to ultimately have her destroyed.
Nah. This would work if Oda has actually shown Yamato to be a very strong fighter against a Calamity or something. Yamato's Devil Fruit is unknown. You can't use a character of unknown ability as a hypetool.

If Oda wanted to use Yamato as a hype tool for Kaido, he would have shown her true combat ability.

We know that she's stronger than Tobi Roppo and perhaps Post Udon G3 Luffy in Base, but the strength of her Zoan and Base forms are total unknowns.

Even when Oda planned to have Kaido defeat the Sulong Dukes be hyped them by letting them destroy Jack first and show out against Kaido's Dragon Form.

Yamato's Devil Fruit is not going to get used as a hypetool without getting a proper debut first.

This fuels the current narrative that there is no hope against Kaido and the Yonko's are truly out of their league and are a formidable force to deal with.
See above. If Oda was solely going to use Yamato as a hypetool, he wouldn't have hidden her Devil Fruit and denied her proper battles before Kaido:
  • If Kaido is just going to stomp Yamato, there's no reason to hide her Devil Fruit.
  • If Kaido is just going to stomp Yamato, there's no reason to deny her full fights with the Tobi Roppo and Calamities.

What are we even disagreeing on here? We both think Yamato is strong. We both agree she has a carnivorous Zoan. We both think she will look good against Kaido and still believe Kaido will defeat her.
:kaidowhat:
I just think she’ll take Kaido to a low diff, whether that makes him bleed, scream, say my pussy hurts doesn’t matter. Same Kaido that bled from kinemons attack.

Too early for Vermillion Bird to show up, keep your expectation low buddy, as @Lance_Dragonite might not know anything about @VegaPank leak about Sanji. The hints might just ended as a troll or not, probably referring to Yamato Kaido and Marco.
Yea, it's just a theory. Since Kaido is the Azure Dragon, the Chinese Constellations became a topic and Yamato is probably the White Tiger. Don't know if the other two would show up.
If the leaks are true, then the most likely bird he was talking about is the Garuda (symbol for Germa 66).

How so? Yamato must outperform Chapter 1009 Luffy for me to win.

The story shows us 1v1 Kaido wins yet you still expect Kaido to be continued on a 1v1.
Yes. The story has also been building towards a 1 vs 1 confrontation between Yamato and Kaido.

Do you doubt Zoro Luffy joining to fight Kaido?
:kaidowhat:
Luffy will fight Kaido again in 1004. I don't know if he'll do it with Zoro. I currently expect Luffy to eventually overcome Kaido in a 1 vs 1.

My arguments about Yamato simply have nothing to do with powerscaling. So Powerscaling based rebuttals are not convincing.

I'm not arguing that Yamato is strong enough to push Kaido to medium difficulty. I'm arguing that Oda has written the story in such a way that he's unlikely to write Yamato getting stomped in the span of a single chapter.

A time parameter cannot be determined since I don’t believe Oda has wrote in a single one throughout the raid
Oda wrote "a few dozen minutes earlier" in 1012.

Okay, I'll win if Yamato's battle with Kaido lasts for longer than one chapter. You win otherwise.

I don't think the other two gonna show up, rather believe next chapter will focus on Yamato DF and what she gonna do.
